The four focal elements of the course were students, instruction, content and learning environment. They were analysed in this order, as this corresponds to the three stages of UbD: we started with objectives related to students; we moved on to choosing the right assessment tools and the right sources of feedback; then we looked at content and the way it can be organised and accessed in a digital learning environment.

Let’s get back to the most important highlights from each element.

Diversity in students and the need for clear objectives

Evaluation tools and feedback strategies

Accessible content in well-designed learning environments
